Stress Guide (Champion Fights): Darkest Dungeon

This is not a complete guide to stress because I do not talk about the town nor do I go through all of the skills and campfire abilities. However, with these tips and gameplay, you should be able to avoid having to use your town often for the stress reduction!

Phantomlox : the fact that its 2020 and darkest dungeon content is still being uploaded makes me very happy big ups bro
Francisco Tejerina : The Jester is amazing, if you can really keep up with the enemies waves you can spam the balad until 0/20 strees points. You can't go wrong with a Jester!
Edrel : Oh hey, so happy to see you're still making darkest dungeon guides ! They help me a lot
Liam Delaosacruz : After just finishing Stygian here are a couple of not super related but still important tips : 1. While using a riposte party, having the highest stress on the HYM or MAA will cause stress dealing enemies to target them more, potentially killing them and since enemies that die to riposte don't deal the stress portions of attacks you can come out on top even if the stressers get their actions. 2. Even if your team comp has no good trap disarm, scouting still let's you choose who takes the stress damage, as opposed to it being entirely random. 3. If your party ends up nuked with everyone having 100+ stress, when you return to the estate your stress will return back to 100 (You still will be afflicted), consequently if you do try and camp to remove stress in that situation, try to focus your heals on one single hero since the rest will go back to 100 anyway. Thanks for the great content Hidden Squidz!
Chris G : Thanks very much squidz. I've had this game for a long time and even though I've spent over 19 hours constantly restarting I always end up running on almost no gold at all and I am still having a really hard time with heroes getting lots of stress and only having a few hundred gold left over after provisions. I wanted to get the reynauld and dismas achievement but the former gets his kleptomania locked in before sanitarium is open. I've never made it to a veteran level and it's really frustrating bc i end up with no gold and a bunch of insane useless heroes.

About Darkest Dungeon:

Darkest Dungeon is a challenging gothic roguelike turn-based RPG about the psychological stresses of adventuring. Recruit, train, and lead a team of flawed heroes against unimaginable horrors, stress, famine, disease, and the ever-encroaching dark. Can you keep your heroes together when all hope is lost?

Mal's Random Musing: This is a truly interesting, compelling, complex (yet accessible), rogue-like, RPG, turn based dungeon crawler. You find yourself far less concerned about how much XP your characters have earned and find yourself concerned with their stress levels. When you venture forth you have to make tough choices, who to bring, how much to spend on supplies and is the group strong enough (if not should I abandon??). Darkest Dungeon feels fresh with its art style, framing, music and tone. This game is worth the price of admission.

Who Is Mal?

I am an old geek who has been playing games my entire life. I have a keen interest in RPG, Strategy \u0026 Tactical games. On my channel you will find Indie as well as AAA titles but I do try to bring light to smaller, worthy projects whenever I am able to. My videos will typically take the form of First Looks, Let's Learn or Let's Plays (and will always include analysis).

Thank You so much for watching and please support with a like, or subscription if you enjoyed any of the videos!
Mr Memes : When something bad happens:

99% Level of stress
Simon K. : Hmm problem is stress doesnt matter just upgrade the recruiting wagon asap and always go into dungeons with a fresh party 8 food and NO torches you'll get 8-12k per run and lots of heirlooms i did that until i had 200k and every upgrade i wanted and then you just cherry pick your favourite chars learn them the traits you want and its gg
Jesus Achmed : Just torrented this game and played it for hours. It's so great I just bought it on Steam :D
Thanks for the guides Mal, I generally love your channel and seeing this popping up on my dash the moment I stop playing and wait for the download to finish is awesome :)
Nick Peebles : Hey could you explain turn order. It feels so random to me. Sometimes someone goes twice in a row and other times it feels like they don't get a turn for ages. Thank you =)
RF : if you're going to keep up with guides one topic maybe you could tackle is consumable items and loot interactions, as well as class and loot interactions. I don't quite understand it myself.

White Hayate : I like how at this point 99% of the people here are veterans of the game yet here we are
Slushi Simcambi : Me, someone who has beaten the game on the hardest difficulty:

“Oh boy a beginner’s guide time to see what I’ve been doing wrong.”
JACL : I appreciate the heart attack chain at the end of the video. Really sums up the dangers of afflictions/stress and also hilarious to watch every time
MLGA : imagine being a new player and not witnessing the awe of a fully equipped Quad Leper team
